CEO

Craig has an extensive knowledge of complementary medicine manufacturing, formulation of active formulas and excipient bases and a very sound knowledge of complementary medicine ingredients. His industry career, spanning more than 15 years began in the family business, a contract manufacturer founded by his Grandfather in 1972.

This manufacturing experience, coupled with Craig's sales experience in the complementary medicines industry uniquely places him to assist with new product development, product rationales and sales strategies and enables him to advise clients on the viability and best dosage form for their products.

In 2010 having identified a gap in the market Craig founded CMG. Complementary Medicines Group (CMG) is a service provider to the complementary medicines, food and over-the-counter pharmaceuticals industries. CMG supplies a range of goods and services to these industries and can assist from concept and formulation to manufacturing, right through to finished product supply, marketing, branding and SEO. CMG has developed a different approach to the supply and servicing of complementary medicines, to make life easier and to deliver products faster.

Craig's vision is for CMG to be a conduit for innovation, by bringing new concepts and technology to sponsors of complementary medicines in Australia, and take the hassle out of the management and sourcing of products and services.

Finance/Purchasing Controller

Smit holds a masters degree in professional accounting and joined CMG in 2014. His experience with accounting started with inventory management and daily bookkeeping for a small enterprise three years ago. He has now developed excellent skills in management accounting and financial analysis and has also accumulated plenty of experience in customer service and supplier liaison. Along with skills and experience in his profession, Smit has an admirable capacity for problem solving and logical thinking, through which he helps maximise the integration of purchasing and the overall finance function. Coming from a strong background in accounting and finance, Smit brings his passion and enthusiasm to CMG, he aims to improve the accounting systems and achieve better financial control while growing his career in the natural medicine industry with the continuing expansion of CMG.

Technical & Innovations Manager

Rachel became a nutritionist after initially working in the mining and engineering industry.  She started her career in natural medicine running her own successful clinical practice.  After graduating from Charles Sturt University with the Mary-Ann Liebert Prize in 2012, she began working for Australian sponsor BioMedica in Product Development and Technical Support.  Moving to the role of Senior Research Associate, Rachel developed a wide range of skills in NPD, regulatory affairs, research, seminar presentation and technical and marketing writing. During this period, she completed post graduate studies through the University of Melbourne in Youth Mental Health.

Rachel is passionate about the natural health industry and its intersection with research.  As a student, she organised petitions to protect natural medicine education at universities across Australia.  She currently works as a Marketing and Communications Consultant for the Omega 3 Centre.  Rachel is also enrolled in the Masters in Brain and Mind Sciences at the University of Sydney.

Bob is a qualified Naturopath and Herbalist.

For over 20 years, Bob has dedicated himself towards helping make natural medicines first choice health solutions for consumers and healthcare professionals.

His experience with helping consumers in this area began as a health store retailer and extended on through; his practice as a Naturopath and Herbalist, brand management with leading Australian Healthcare companies, practice management of multi-modality clinics, coordination of education and training programs for healthcare professionals, new product development, health advisory service management and ongoing technical support for consumers and the trade.

Bob’s training and experience has exposed him the broad therapeutic potential of natural medicines. At the same time he clearly recognises that “natural” and “safe” are not synonymous terms and he remains committed to helping consumers to source responsible, evidence based health advice.

Principal Designer and Account Manager
Soapbox Design

Specialising in Online & Offline Design and Corporate Branding since early 2000, Lisa brings experience to the table, adding design and marketing ideas and assisting in brief generation before creating tailored designs that help meet project goals.

Her roles have been within Project Management, Graphic Design and Creative Direction as the Managing Director of a Sydney-based Design Studio and most recently, from 2007, as the principal of Soapbox Design Studio.

She consults and designs regularly for businesses of all industries and sizes, in areas such as Health, Agricultural and Planning, Pharmaceutical, Biotechnological and Engineering, Telecommunications, Event Planning and Construction Firms.

Lisa holds a Bachelor of Technology, Certificate in Marketing and a Diploma of Multimedia.
